Cooking dinner for families at the Ronald McDonald House
Families from all over the world stay at the Ronald McDonald House, which is adjacent to Cohen's Children's Hospital in Lake Success.  Children with severe diseases such as Leukemia and Epilepsy are treated at the hospital.

A small group of Second Stagers bought food and cooked dinner for the families at the beautiful facility on July 30.  Our group was given a tour of the house during which our host made the statement "this is the most important thing you'll ever do...you are changing someone's life"   The Ronald McDonald House is where families of sick children stay so that they can be together as a family while one of the children are getting treatment at the hospital.  People from all over the world were there the day that we cooked.

Thank you to Laura, Jasmin, Julia, Carly, Emily, and Allison for sharing your time and talents to help others who are going through a difficult time!  It might seem like a very s imple thing to do, but, you'll never know how your simple act of kindness may have touched someone that day and made a difference in their lives...I believe that was what meant when she said "it's the most important thing you'll ever do".
